A dental bridge consists of one or more false teeth which are then attached to the crowns adjacent to the space of the missing tooth. Bridges are usually made to replace a missing tooth, however if there is more than one tooth missing a larger bridge can be made as long as there are enough teeth in the mouth to attach the bridge to. This treatment can only be done if the teeth and gums are healthy and if there are enough teeth to support it. Bridges if well maintained, will last for years and are just as strong as natural teeth.
